About Us

Aukipa Hawaiian Images was formed by artist Patrick W Winfrey and marketing designer Luis M Chen. The goal was to share the beauty of Hawaiian sceneries from the kama'aina's views to the visitors during and after their visit to Oahu Hawaii. This duo lived in Waikiki from 2000 to 2006 and the photographs were taken between 2005 and 2006. They had not gone back since left the island in 2006.

Origin of Aukipa 

It was a disformed word from Ho'okipa, which means "to entertain, make a visit hospitable or welcome" in Hawaiian language.

Later Development

Patrick found a new way to express his artistry and programming talents. He designed many SVG animation images from 2016 to 2021. These royalty-free images are showcased on OpenClipart.org and at the Creative Dept.
